Part 2 of an overall brilliant weekend. the Sunday morning was spent at the car boot sale with Chris. It's the first time either of us have dared to touch a car boot sale since all of the unpleasantness started. Of course, the natural stop was Seaham. It's about half an hour up[ the road, and considering the weather looked like it could turn nasty at any time, somewhere we could det to quickly seemed the perfect stop off point. So, we paid the early-bird fiver. I think it's the third time we've walked round this car boot, the third time we've paied the (admittedly extortionate) fee, but as I mentioned, with all of the unpleasantness going around, it's probably best to pay the extra, andgo when there's less people there.

Sadly, less people there also meant less stalls. I'd say that they were reduced by at least half, probably more. Each aisle usually has two rows of stalls on, but this time there was only one (still charged full price though, the robbing barstewards). It mwant we could have a closer look around at the stalls though. One thing that does annoy me about this one is the amount of actual traders there, selling substandard washing up liquid, fidget spinners, and stuff that I wouldn't let anywhere near the house, never mind use.. I'm sure trading standard would have a field day around there.

The bad weather pretty much held off, except for a brief shower near the end. It wasn't enough to put a dampener on the day. I didn't come away with much to be honest. CDs, naturally, and the only "unusual thing" was a 3.5 floppy disk box for 50p.

We came back into Hartlepool, and the heavens absolutely opened. You could see the cloud moving in. The docks at the sheds had almost disappeared, and we were only on west view road, so that should give you a scale of how heavy it is. In fact the photos will help a fair bit too.

We drove around for a bit, and then decided it'd be worthwhile to nip to Lidl. I was going to get Chris a beer for the past two days.

Anyhoo. We negotiated the rivers that were now running down Easington Road. The rain had not held up one bit at this point. We nipped into Lidl, and I got a few bits. Then zi remembered! Aldi had a new line of beer out called "Anti Establishment IPA". Well. I had to try some, as I've always talked about my love for Punk IPA. There was an Aldi at Throston, bug we went all the way to Tees Bay. This turned out to be a great move, as we got to see some areas of the town where the flood water was nearly across the road. This also meant that I could have a quick look in the charity shop on Teesbay and pick up just a few more CDs.

That seemed like it was the end of the day. Chris dropped me off, he headed home. Jamie texted me, saying that there wouldn't be any pokemongs today as his chest was killing. No, not through the 'rona. I wasn' t particularly bothered, as my item bag was full, and I had all of those CDs to rip and catalogue.

This was to change, however, as the lure of Pokeymans and sea air were just too much, and he texted me if I was free for an hour. This turned out to be a brilliant move, as we also went for a walk. A rare thing with it comes to us doing the whole pokemon thing, but so glad we did. The sky and the sea looked brilliant. The sea was like a glass sheet, and the storm clouds slinking by made an excellent scene.

I returned home, and just spent the rest of the night cataloguing and ripping CDs. Great fun! Well it is to me anyway.
