"The Deep" aquarium , in Hull
One of my favourite things there waqsn't actually fish related, it was these little ants. Unless you've been under a crap rock for the past 3 months, you can't have failed to notice the Queen's diamond jubilee has been on this weekend. To celebrate this fact, "The Deep" have given these little ants torn-up bits of the Union Jack (or the Union Flag, whichever it is) to build their hill with.
It was genuinely fascinating. I note that there's an actual camera watching them, so I'm not sure if it's a webcam, or if it's doing timelapse stuff. Either way, I have some video of it.
A selection of images in "the Deep", a large aquarium in Hull, overlooking the Humber Estuary. Plenty of breeds of exotic fish, and a couple of sharks and stingrays.
Photo quality isn't all that good I'm afraid. My big Canon is still out of action, so my little Canon was put into use, unfortunately the low light quality leaves a lot to be desired, so a few are blurred until I decided to crank the ISO up to the maximum. these particular photos are noisy! I was more interested in getting video anyway.
